Ermes Cyber Security, founded in 2018 as a spin-off from the Polytechnic University of Turin, is an Italian scale-up specializing in the protection of corporate web browsing through solutions based on artificial intelligence. In June 2023, it closed the first tranche of a Series A investment round, raising €3.0 million with Sinergia Venture Fund as the lead investor. In December of the same year, the company raised an additional €4.5 million, with a significant contribution from Sinergia Venture Fund, joined by prominent angel investors.
The raised capital is intended to strengthen the company’s go-to-market strategy and reinforce research and development activities.

Ermes is the only Italian company selected by Gartner in the top 100 organizations using artificial intelligence to defend against cyberattacks.
Its technology protects over 30,000 users and is adopted by clients such as KPMG, Carrefour, and Reale Mutua.
